…threads… Threads is a creative journey that explores young people’s relationship with the stories of their elders. It will follow the threads that have been woven in the past and have lead to the present, the people/community we are now.
The project will work with primary and secondary school pupils as well as members of the community to gather stories from older people and then work with them to create a physical representation of those stories. The artistic team will also visit residential homes to collect stories and potentially present the finished work.
...threads... was created by exciting new arts organisation Brighton Shed. AudioActive have been commissioned to support young producers to create the soundscapes for the performance inspired by the stories told by the elderly.
